On 18th January 2023, our Chairman, Gen. @mkainerugaba, appointed Mr. @KagutaNzeire as the Regional Coordinator for Nkore and Hon. @BalaamBarugahar as the Vice Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) for the Western Region. To the best of my knowledge, Gen. MKM has not made any subsequent appointments regarding the position of Regional Coordinator for Western Uganda. Mr. Agaba Gerald is a dedicated mobilizer and a genuine supporter of Gen. MKM who has worked tirelessly for PLU. However, his dedication and commitment do not automatically make him the Regional Coordinator. I encourage him to remain patient and wait for an official appointment from our Chairman. it is also important to clarify that no one has abused or attacked him. We are simply correcting him as a brother and fellow patriot, with the best interests of our organisation at heart. We must uphold discipline, respect official appointments, and remain united in our common mission.

𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 I would like to clarify the matter concerning a letter currently circulating in which one of our members, Mr. Agaba Gerald, has appointed himself as the PLU Regional Coordinator for Western Uganda. This is false and misleading, and the public is urged to disregard the letter, as it is unauthorised and does not reflect the official PLU leadership structure. All regional and sub-regional coordinators are appointed by our National Chairman, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. It is in this regard that Hon. Balaam Barugahara was appointed Vice Chairman of PLU for the Western Region. For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Nzeire Shadrack is the PLU Coordinator for the Ankole Sub-region, deputised by Mr. Tabaro Didas Tumwesigye, while Mr. Polly Katwiire serves as the spokesperson for Ankole. These appointments were made by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba on 16 February 2024, and the list was released by the former PLU General Secretary, Hon. @DaudiKabanda . The appointed officials were expected to operate under the supervision and guidance of the Vice Chairman of PLU for the Western Region, Hon. Balaam Barugahara. It is therefore unfortunate that a member who is well known to us would purport to assume the position of PLU Regional Coordinator for an entire region without an official appointment from the National Chairman. The PLU fraternity is disappointed by this conduct, and we are working to resolve the matter internally. Furthermore, the public is informed that the Tuko Pamoja (NRM/PLU) Task Force was established temporarily to support campaign activities during the period from November 2025 to February 2026 ONLY. We appreciate everyone who participated in the task force for their tremendous contribution to the successful delivery of Mzee’s victory. Please note that all regional and sub-regional coordinators are appointed by our National Chairman, Gen. @mkainerugaba . No individual has the authority to assume or declare themselves a coordinator without an official appointment. We urge all PLU members and the general public to disregard misleading communications that contradict the established leadership structures of the organisation and to respect the official appointments made by the National Chairman. Thank you.
