If you told me five years ago that I would capture a rocket launch on 35mm film over #Pittsburgh, I would have said that you were crazy. But here it is, the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, over the Steel City from a few days ago, captured on CineStill 800 film. Absolutely wild.

PIT's high of 91°F Thursday marks the 5th day in a row with temps at or above 90°F. While this happens every few years in Jul/Aug/Sep, it's fairly rare for June. The last time PIT had 5 or more 90° days in June was 1994. Will we make it 6? The forecast for Friday is 89°F.

It's official! As of 2 PM, the Philadelphia Int'l Airport has reached 100° for the first time in 13 years, when the high was 100° on July 18, 2012. This breaks the daily record high temperature of 99° set in 1923, & is the first 100° temperature to occur in June since 1994. #PAwx

As of 2 PM, Mount Pocono, PA has reached 90°. This is the first 90° temperature there in 13 years, when the high was 90° on July 19, 2013. The daily record for today is 90°, set in 1908. #PAwx

The highest temperature in Philadelphia during March was 82, in April it was 83, and in May it was 86. The last time 3 consecutive months had a max temperature in the 80s was August-October 1984. There is no record of Philly having 4 consecutive months with max temps in the 80s.
