Stop treating AI like everything else that’s ever been. Another tool. Another platform. Another transformation initiative. It isn’t. Nobody has the full answer yet. But pretending this fits neatly into existing playbooks is the fastest way to miss everything.
@charliewrich Reminds me of the guru running '$5M solo business' who was getting kicked out of his apartment. Imagine touting $5M and not even making rent.
The promises keep coming. "What took us 3 weeks is now 5 minutes." The promises aren't tested. "Get the fix -> here." The promise was likely never even read. "Broke it down for you." The promise turns dangerous. "Take this markdown file, drop it in, connect the agent to your SaaS." The promise oversold itself. "Now fire your SDR team." The promise made you the cautionary tale.
No feedback. No applause. No proof. No visible progress. Silence doesn't mean nothing is happening. Sometimes silence is the buildup. Whatever you're doing, keep going. The quiet is just growth you can't see.

Focus on how fast you can iterate. Not on finding the perfect "stack".
Founders love to ask: “What tool should I use?” Better question: “What system should this tool support?” Because the tool won’t fix unclear workflows, messy handoffs, inconsistent QA, or decisions trapped in your head. Tech helps. Systems scale.
Protect revenue with a system before it churns. Signal: - Failed payment - Unpaid invoice - Inactive customer - Low feature adoption System: - Capture it - Route it - Assign ownership - Trigger action Treat every signal like the revenue risk that it is.
The most valuable “tech” in a service business is rarely sophisticated software. It’s the system underneath the work: how requests enter how work flows how decisions get made how delivery stays consistent That’s what scales.
$40k a month isn't put at-risk all at once. It leaks out one failed payment at a time. One expired card. One missed follow-up. One loyal customer treated like a transaction.
