Phlox is coming to the Solana dApp Store.
A private messenger built for @solanamobile. No one can read your conversations: not the network that carries them, not the servers, not Phlox itself. Only the people in the chat.
No phone number, no email, no name. You sign in once with your wallet. It's not a transaction, and your wallet address isn't stored.
Every contact gets its own one-time address, so your chats can't be linked together. Photos and files are encrypted on your phone and deleted from storage after 30 days. Messages can burn on a timer. Tor is built in for anyone who wants their IP hidden too.
No ads. No analytics. No crash reports.
Built for people who can't afford to be careless: journalists and their sources, traders discussing deals, founders under NDA, anyone living where messages get read. And for everyone who's simply tired of handing over their phone number to talk.
Your conversations stay yours.

A messenger can only hand over what it has.
Since 2024, Telegram's policy allows sharing users' phone numbers and IP addresses in response to valid legal requests. That's not a scandal, it's how an account tied to a phone number works. The number is the person.
Phlox never asks for one. No number, no email, no name. There's nothing like that to hand over, because it was never collected.
Turn on Tor in settings, and your IP stays hidden too.

Work is underway on Phlox right now. ⚙️🔧
If you notice small hiccups in the next few days, don't worry. Most of this work is on privacy and anonymity, and changes that deep can shake things up for a moment.
Your messages stay encrypted the whole time.
Thanks for your patience. The fire's being stoked.
What's under the hood.
XMTP carries your messages. It's an open network of nodes, not one company's servers, and nobody running it can read what you send. Phlox adds one more layer on top: for every new contact, both phones create fresh one-time inboxes. The network sees two random addresses that never show up anywhere else, so your conversations can't be linked to each other or back to you.
MLS locks them. It's an open standard for end-to-end encryption, built for groups as well as one-to-one chats. Keys keep rotating, so a key stolen today doesn't unlock yesterday's messages.
Also inside:
• Tor built in, one switch
• Disappearing messages and a screenshot block
• Photos and files encrypted, gone from the server after 30 days
• No ads, no analytics, no crash reports
The trade-off is plain. Lose the wallet you signed in with, and nobody can restore your account. That's the price of an account that was never tied to your identity.
Phlox. Private conversations, quiet flame.
Why Phlox? There are already plenty of messengers. Why another one?
Fair question. Most messengers start the same way: what's your phone number? Your number is tied to your name, your SIM, your carrier and often your bank. Once a chat app has it, your account points straight back to you.
Phlox doesn't ask. No number, no email, no name. You sign in once with a wallet, and that's all the wallet is for. Phlox doesn't store its address.
You don't need to be into crypto, own any or understand how it works. An empty wallet is enough. You can make one in minutes, with no money in it and no name attached. Phlox never asks you to pay or send money. The wallet is just your key to get in. One tip: use a fresh wallet just for Phlox.
A conversation shouldn't need your passport to start.
Most messengers start by asking who you are. Number, email, contacts.
Phlox skips the questions. One signature from a free wallet app and you're in.
Messages, photos and calls are end-to-end encrypted, carried by @xmtp_ and sealed with MLS.

@xmtp_ The fine print, in plain words:
Android only, installed as an APK. 8.0+, 64-bit.
Calls are direct, so the other side can see your IP.
The wallet is your key. Lose it and nobody can bring the account back. Nobody. That's the point.

@xmtp_ Tor usually means a second app, a guide and a lot of patience.
In Phlox it's one switch.
Yes, it's slower, and calls are off while it's on. But the services carrying your messages stop seeing your IP.
Phlox is a messenger for Android that doesn't need to know who you are.
No phone number. No email. No name.
Messages travel over @xmtp_ and are end-to-end encrypted, along with photos and calls.
