@BrianLehrer @danarubinstein Enough! We don’t need another drinking establishment. More crowded subways, less safety as I see it.

@BrianLehrer balanced literacy teaches strategies on comprehension and how to approach an unknown word. But it needs to be blended with phonics instruction. The trouble comes when you give teachers an hour of each to do in a day. You need balance and teacher training.

@BrianLehrer I am most concerned about crime and addressing mental health concerns. In addition, the empty stores on the streets and high rents are concerning.

@BrianLehrer @s_nessen Those of us with knee and hip issues need the front of the bus to get on and off. And wheelchairs need the front. Perhaps the back of the bus area can be reserved for strollers.

@BrianLehrer @WNYC How unhinged is Putin? Would he engage nuclear power to get his way?

@BrianLehrer What can the city do to keep bikes, electric scooters, etc off the sidewalks? And to stop the lawlessness of these vehicles not stopping at the red lights?

@BrianLehrer why do kids have to wait on line to be later turned away? If you know you have 50 doses, don’t keep 175 kids on the line, to be turned away after almost an hour! As happened in my grandchild’s school.

@BrianLehrer Please ask Mayor DeBlasio about the vaccines at school sham. Kids waiting on line 7 am. Told an hour later to go home. Only 50 doses brought for a population of 650. Our kids deserve better!

@NYCMayor is there any place to see the list of school and classroom closings related to covid?

@BrianLehrer not taking the vaccine means you make a choice to possibly spread the virus at a much higher rate. That is irresponsible. If you live in a society you have rights, but also RESPONSIBILITIES.

@KathyHochul I am waiting for the mask mandate. How can people feel safe, with a highly contagious strain of Covid, especially in a crowded NYC, without a mask mandate for stores? Please make this a law!

@KathyHochul many of us are ready for a mask mandate in grocery stores. It’s scary how many people don’t mask up when shopping. We welcome your leadership.
