@tripwire_6_real @sapphyreblayze And I won't spend money I don't have if I don't have a credit card, it's that fucking simple. Are you retarded? I literally explain why I refuse to get a credit card and you're arguing about it?

@ignorantmusings @sapphyreblayze Again, I don't spend nearly enough money for "rewards" to even matter. I don't chase every penny because I'm content with my finances.

@tripwire_6_real @sapphyreblayze Or losing my source of income unexpectedly. I don't take risks like that for a measly $50 a year in "rewards"

@BirdKeeper89 @sapphyreblayze The problem comes in when people assume I don't have financial responsibility when I don't use credit. I have a visceral, genuine hatred for debt of any kind

@tripwire_6_real @sapphyreblayze Many credit card holders are one paycheck from the brink, they just don't know that they're about to be replaced by AI or foreign outsourcing. I don't use credit cards because the potential downsides vastly outweigh the upsides

@ignorantmusings @sapphyreblayze It's a lot easier to not go into debt with a debit card. Why would I use something that might potentially put me in crippling debt for less than $50 in "rewards"? Cash and debit are safer, and don't risk me paying for usury.

@ThatOneDutchGuy @marclsilver @Z_Silvestri Sounds like a bunch of made-up terms for stuff I don't really care about. Idgaf about returns, I care about store of value.

@ThatOneDutchGuy @marclsilver @Z_Silvestri I don't use investing apps, they lock you out if you do too well. I pulled everything out of the scam market and bought physical coinage. At least in the event of a collapse, I know silver holds its value better than a stock.

@JoeDirt6u6b @sapphyreblayze I refuse to participate in the same credit game that ruined so many others. I do just perfectly fine where I am, don't need the extra $30 a month that rewards would net me

@ThatOneDutchGuy @marclsilver @Z_Silvestri Why would I use a credit card when I can pay cash, and have no further hassle? Any further extra gets converted to either silver, or lead and brass. Credit card rewards are nominal for those that aren't very good at consuming.

@JoeDirt6u6b @sapphyreblayze I don't overspend, and I have an emergency fund. I also don't spend enough to make a rewards card matter. It's practically zero upside with more risks, and more moving parts. I'll stick to cash, even if it is monopoly money at this point
