Coaches are always wanting to increase speed with the coaching of block starts and sprint mechanics. The truth is, we must sprint consistently 2-3 times a week, in small doses (3 short sprints, timed), and supplement that work with x-factor work (plyos, wickets, med balls, isos, etc). It's like we are gardeners. You can't coach the seed to grow. We are NOT the architects of growth. We simply provide the nutrients. We feed the cats.
@pntrack Do you have a list of your fav plyos on your YouTube?
@pntrack I have heard you chatting with b-ball, football & soccer guys and I love your thoughts re team sports. That ocean is deep and wide (and OLD) and in real need of the less is more “feed the cats” approach. Keep preaching, sir, and THANKS!
@pntrack Do the thing that you're trying to get better at, the most often (with appropriate rest) and in sprints that is sprinting...
@pntrack How do you feel about concentric only deadlifts for increasing sprint speed?
