Reading through some Reddit wsb discussion about BB and shorting tells me that people know their stuff and know what they are doing. They are sophisticated investors with great analysis of how trading works. It’s insane learning for me.

There was a bill introduced in 2018 to tax high frequency trading firms 10 basis points for rapid trading. It was forecasted to generate $777B over the next ten years. The bill was killed.
