@SLORocker @JonnyRoot_ @SharpFootball What are you talking about? It’s hypocritical. ND should be allowed one second but not UofM? It was the exact same scenario with the exception that ESPN’s graphic matches the stadium clock but NBC’s didn’t. The official clock is the independent stadium clock operator.

@SLORocker @JonnyRoot_ @SharpFootball You missed the point. I believe there was one second. Why is the energy flipped for the game? Why was Michigan villainized but ND felt sorry for?

@PrideOfDetroit Be careful. He can’t play that much better than Scruggs has. In fact I’m more worried about regression than progression when he steps in.

@AtoZ_Payton Mike Payton needs to hear this. You can obtain his rights. It’s possible. All we hear is how things aren’t likely. But guess what, they are possible. Make them happen. Do something. Sitting around waiting for something to change shows us how little you care. Make a move!

@PrideOfDetroit Couldn’t disagree more. This team isn’t coached well on defense. The NFL game is chess. They have the talent on defense. We have a playcalller who thinks the game is checkers. How many cover 0 blitzes do you have to call before you realize the opponent is exploiting it?

@colton_pouncy Pushed off. Full extension. Easy OPI. No call.

@SharpFootball Simple solution for this. Use the same tech that is used for measuring first downs in the NFL, just on a different axis.

@PrideOfDetroit No. The defense is terrible. Schematically broken along with secondary issues.

@DetroitOnLion Not asking for a top 10 defense. I’m asking for average, which historically as you pointed out will be difficult. To me the blueprint for the Lions is like what the Steelers did. Stop with the cover 1 and go two high safety. Stop blitzing every other play. Mix up rush with 4.

@HonoluluBlues_ Simple. Go to a two high safety, multiple base scheme. Use nickel more often in a cover 2 or cover 3 cloud. Stop blitzing every other play. Send pressure from unpredictable spots. Play some 3-4 concepts. Put Barnes and Hutch at OLB standing up.

@Jacob_Barbee @PrideOfDetroit Don’t disagree our secondary talent isn’t good right now. Scheme matters more. Don’t care what talent you have if you are predictable and don’t put the talent you have in position to succeed.

@DetroitOnLion Worst Lions defensive performance in a long time.

@AtoZ_Payton I stand corrected which is awesome. However, what was the sacrifice made to generate these times? We blitzed a ton. I would love to know how many blitzes we sent and the offensive play success rate when we did.

@FlopMeister1 @DetroitOnLion What you are missing is how the pressure was generated. Would love to see that when rushing with 4, 5, 6, etc. watching the game, the Lions sent a ton of blitzes which exposes your coverage units.
