@revanche @fixyourheartsor Maybe there is no easily aviable dataset with normalized poc faces. Maybe they only wanted to train on white faces to prove a concept and do the production training with a larger, more diverse dataset. As long as it is not being used to "classify" people, I think it is not a prob

I think the route of 'I was oppressed now I need to strike back and everyone who is offended was one of the oppressors' fundamentally wrong bc imo it isn't productive and splits the groups even further. Punishing all for actions of a few, bad imo

Do you maybe think, that people are not particularly keen on changing their opinion when they are lumped together with every other person with their skin color? this is just, 'you bullied me, now I'm gonna bully you' Not helping

@Iyrical_wonder @deadendXXI @DuccioArmenise @tooshyruby I get your point but you can apply that argument to any group you consider 'oppressed'. like if I say all old people are bad because some old people treated me bad (when I am young and have less power than them) Imo it doesn't help the problem, but divides the groups further.
