Building https://t.co/52THdZZ7GL: One-command deploys to your own server. For devs & indie hackers shipping fast. Live in minutes.programonaut.com Mannheim, Germany 🇩🇪Joined June 2021
Had a call with one of my customers yesterday.
Learning: Write better docs and show examples. The customer is not in your head and does not know how exactly your tool works or is intended to work!
Today I had my first Padel lessons! It was super fun and I learned a lot.
For me the most important things are:
- go to the ball (right -> left for forehand, left -> right for backhand)
- use the rotation of the body
- arm up for a lob
- play calm!!
Claude Code just migrated my blog from Sanity to Markdoc in one go.
Still had to tweak a few things, but it handled all the boring parts.
Way less hassle than I expected.
This is the kind of AI I actually wanted ❤️
Feels good to have it done.
My plan for the next days is to write some guide and articles to improve the SEO for my tool, small steps that can make a real difference.
Here is what's planned:
- write article about how to set up servers
- write article about how to deploy app vs how to deploy with…
Just implemented @andi_losing suggestions for security into my product. Now all websites deployed with quickdeploy will have the security headers by default!
VPS providers are like coffee shops.
They all pour coffee, but there's always that one place where it just works for you
We act like it's all about specs and price, but honestly? I want a good looking web ui and an API 😅
The right provider just feels easy
Which VPS providers…
Just built a workflow in n8n that notifies me when new customers purchase my CLI tool on Stripe. It even sends me some license details that I need to confirm!
Took me 5 mins. Love how simple automation can be.
Tried every framework, turns out always trying the a new is a trap, just pick one and ship
For fun, experiment with new ones but if you want to work fast stick with one
e.g. I love Vue but at my day job I work with react so I switched from nuxt to nextjs to reduce context…
100 days left in the year.
That's actually enough time to build something if you quit overthinking!
I want to use mine to build and launch one more product and improve my existing one.
What is your plan for the next 100 days?
In the coming years, there will be two kinds of indie devs:
1. Those who master deployment, infrastructure, and server logic.
2. Those who just vibe and ship with one command to their server using quickdeploy
I have to say, I did not expect adding programmatic images to my SEO pages to be this straightforward!
Just a few lines of code and now every page gets proper visuals.
Why do we always assume the worst about tasks we haven't started yet?
Feels pretty good to finally ship it.
Sadly verification of my Choco submission failed again. So I decided to let this rest for a bit until I have some windows users that actually request it!
I should have maybe gone this route immediately but after seeing how easy homebrew was I thought let's go!
Learning: Ship…
I have to say, I did not expect programatic SEO to be implemented this easy! With
@nextjs
you can just add a `generateStaticParams` and it does the magic for you. Then some proper not found pages and that's it! Just shipped my first version for quickdeploys supported frameworks!
Okay, first choco verification failed.. Next try!
Which package manager are you using if you are on windows? What would be your preferred way to install a CLI tool?
