Some more footage of combat, I'm really happy with it so far! It feels very good and I worked hard on the sound design so that it felt very punchy. Game-feel is very important to make a game fun to play. Actively working now on implementing skills. #gamedev #gaming #indiedev

Working on making the main menu a little more aesthetically pleasing. I'm really happy with the background. It's just a dithering layer over a scrolling cloud texture. You'll be able to have multiple save files, and I want to have plenty of settings. #gamedev #gaming #indiedev

Characters in Query are all based on MBTI typologies. So something like this graph could be used as a cheat sheet in dialogue with certain characters, or even helping you romance who you like. This leads the player to naturally like specific characters. #gamedev #gaming #indiedev

Prototype for the skill tree! There's 3 main sections. 'Combat', 'defense' and 'vitality'. With some skills having augments giving them different abilities. There's also 4 'passive' skills, which can be infinitely progressed. Apply skills to hotkeys. #gamedev #gaming #indiedev

Query is an RPG, leveling and stats are very important. You can earn experience through a variety of ways, from combat to exploration. Allocating points to your different stats will buff your character, making you a very adversarial opponent! #gamedev #gaming #indiedev

In Query there are different companions you can choose from, one of them being a bird! They will aid you in combat, and will shout when they find items of interest, similar to Dogmeat from Fallout 4. Each companion comes with different abilities. #gamedev #gaming #indiedev

Implementing achievements at the moment! There will be 3 different tiers of achievements depending on difficulty. Earning achievements will be for much more than just bragging rights, and each achievement comes with special rewards when earned. #gamedev #gaming #indiedev

"The more horrifying the world becomes, the more abstract art becomes.", might be the reason why this game has taken me so long to finish. In light of all unfortunate events lately, I can't help but have my feelings somehow pour into the game. The themes for Query are abstract.
