Hi @elonmusk your concern for the poor Indian kids and small businesses almost brought tears to my eyes. So much care and concern for poor Indians! Let's keep politics and Mr. Ambani aside, I have some questions for you as an Indian consumer because the access to the internet for the poor is what you are advocating for (by the way, I have heard so much about it during my days in Europe during 2016-2018 especially when the UN agencies were pushing for it) 1) The very first thing that we need to know is how much a "poor" Indian would pay for a Starlink connection and services? I am sure your team must have done the maths for it by now. 2)  Where are these "many areas of India with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education" that you are specifically looking to tap into? Having travelled through the breadth and length of my country- (to put it in data- I have some 85000 kms in various states of India in some 22 months), I am extremely curious to be enlightened about such places. By the way, I hope these aren't border areas or extremely sensitive zones. 3)  Let's talk some more numbers- how many poor kids have got access to education through Starlink and how many small businesses have gone global so far? I am sure many Indians would appreciate these numbers about the change that you have brought about and why not- Indians should look forward to witnessing it. 4) We have already seen the Iran-US conflict so where would you stand when it comes to Indian interests vs US interests? Just an aside- You also funded President Trump's campaign and you were a key member of his initial team- so businesses are free to fund campaigns, No?

I have said this many times before. America is no longer what it used to be. India trusted Trump and his cronies, Musk included, for far too long before their true colours showed. Trump would not be President today without Elon Musk’s money and his personal campaign on Twitter. Musk spent close to $290 million and then claimed the election could not have been won without him. That influence was real. When the relationship with Trump soured, Musk posted that Trump is in the Epstein files and that this was why they had not been released. What kind of person makes someone President while knowing what those files contain? Musk is a great technocrat and entrepreneur. That does not excuse this. Is “Dear Prime Minister Ambani” how you address the world’s largest democracy and a sovereign nation? He accuses Ambani of being an oligarch. By that standard, Musk is one too. Which party we support or oppose does not matter. In a democracy we all have our preferences. When it comes to Indian sovereignty, we are one nation. America wants India to follow its tantrums. Obey, and do not argue. It does not like India having an independent view or strategy. India wants to be treated as an equal. America wants India as a vassal. That is why the elites in the American state have turned hostile towards India. They already regret how far China has risen. They do not want India to reach that point. In the coming years America will do what it can to harm India’s interests. We need to face this together as a nation. Very tough times ahead.
