As we move into the #grazing season remember to monitor utilization. Grazing at higher than 50% use depletes root reserves and requires a longer recovery time between grazing periods. Long term over use can result in decreased #forage production and #ecosystem health.

It's National Invasive Species Awareness Week! Here's a picture of Russian Thistle and it's classic purple striped stem- a commom invasive weed in West Texas. You can find it rolling across the landscape- it turns into a mean tumbleweed, which is how it spreads seed. #NISAW
