@kalysbars I haven't had nexplanon but a friend did - her first one was fantastic, lasted around 2-3 years. After getting her second one, she had a period for like 6 weeks and apparently that's not uncommon. I don't know if it eventually resolved or if she got it removed

Oksana Chusovitina posting this on Insta with the caption: “#LA2028 Go for your dreams no matter what!!!” We never doubted she’d be back, but also, thanks for making our Thursday, Chuso! 🫶

The thing I keep going back to is that there is literally zero precedent for taking away someone’s Olympic medal because of an administrative issue. This has never been done. Over 128 years. Why now? Why this?

As one of the most iconic images in Olympics—-we know who will always be remembered as bronze medalist. @ChilesJordan your sportsmanship is felt every single time you’re on the floor. Your legacy will go far beyond medals.

while we're on the topic of stripping medals, isn't it wild that romania has at least 5 world/oly medals that were won by gymnasts who ADMITTED to having their age falsified but the only time medals actually got stripped for age falsification was chinese and north korean gymnasts

I can tell the floor final decision has reached the mainstream based on all my non-gymnerd friends blowing up my phone

@jennifercarolyn My friend saw Jordan's ig post and asked what happened and I had to write an essay on the whole thing. This is even more devastating for Sabrina. I wonder if they can file a CAS complaint about that?

you will not convince me this would have happened if the Romanian gymnast had lost to another white person, and that’s all I’ll say besides: Massive love to Jordan Chiles. No matter what, she’s the best of the best. She brought her country gold.

Not MyKayla Skinner turning on the white woman tears and trying to paint Simone Biles as the bully. Absolutely typical. Girl, it’s not even the “lazy” comment people are calling you out on anymore. It’s YEARS of bullying other gymnasts.

Calling for a public apology from Simone and continuously saying people misunderstood what you were trying to articulate is never an actual apology and you still have yet to actually take accountability for your hurtful comments MyKayla idk what to tell you

@lenibriscoe yeah, watching the primetime coverage it really looks like she stayed in bounds. I wonder if her inquiry was about leaps instead of the OOB?

@taranicoleg yes!! when her floor routine went viral a few years ago I would shock my coworkers with "this is the last gymnast to beat Simone Biles" 😂 😂 (yes Kyla did too but for the normies it was close enough)

Truly wild. If you had told the Gymternet this in the summer of 2013 after US Classic no one would have believed it. This is so unprecedented and absolutely incredible. 🐐

For new gymnastics fans: 1) score inquiries happen at EVERY meet. 2) tie breaks happen at ALMOST every meet. 3) sometimes they help and sometimes they hurt the gymnast’s score 4) when your fave loses out because of a tie-break or an inquiry it SUCKS 5) the score still stands.

Exactly this. It's a sport and it's heartbreaking but it happens. It's happened before in Olympic finals (2012 Aly 4th place curse anyone?) and it will probably happen again.

Why be messy towards an athlete who literally supports every single person. Icons commenting stirring fans as if Jordan herself made the rules. She won the medal and others were devastated. She has been devastated before too. Gymnastics is hard. Let her CELEBRATE! Sad and hurtful

@phxsunz25 I remember being worried she would get injured and miss her shot at the olympics in 2016 - which is of course laughable now.

@phxsunz25 yes! it just goes to show how much the culture and sport have changed-- not only 11 years later she is still winning gold medals, but that we're not even counting her out for LA 2028!
