Today’s down move in $SPY is meh. Volume is light & selling is a garden variety mild liquidation break. Over the last 5 years the real selling pressure in July occurs after VIX OPEX which this year is 7/16 (CPI is also on 7/16) so I expect some volatility that day. 💯🚧

Today was a rare Black Marubozu candlestick pattern on $SPY. These often signify a reversal of an uptrend. The high today during the cash session was the open at 9:30 am est then sellers took control from there until the close. 🚧

My mobile trading setup is identical to that in the office. A MacBook & an iPad. I watch the $SPY 15 min chart & the VIX. Simple but effective. Yes I monitor UST yields, DXY, BTC etc. but for all active trading this is it. Too many indicators leads to confusion. 🦉
