I loved how #fallout used a new storyline. Old and new fans alike could discover and enjoy together. I just wish, selfishly, they would cast more gaming actors. They’re one of the reasons these worlds have an existing fan base and TV and film casting ignores that fact.
And I know some of you are going to point out that voice actors don’t work well in front of the camera. There are two demonstrable inaccuracies in that statement. I’ll let you guess what they are.
@rclark98 Why do we call them voice actors when there filmed and motion captured for the games. So how's that different from most actors working today .
@rclark98 I was bummed that Ron Perlman never showed up but hopefully in season 2 he does.
@rclark98 Ya it was great to see Ashley and Troy in TLOU HBO
@rclark98 Performance actors have transcended beyond what was once thought possible in entertainment. Look no further than the entire cast of RDR2, Horizon, and God of War for glaring evidence to that fact. Live action is a natural fit for PAs.
@rclark98 What's holding good voice actors back from performing well in front of a camera? They are already producing genuine voice lines for the game characters and putting a lot of emotion into forming the characters we know and love, so they surely are more than capable of acting.
@rclark98 Couldn't agree more with your statement . During the last of us I wanted more of Troy to be honest .
@rclark98 HBO The Last of Us proved that wrong with the likes of the wonderful Troy Baker, Jeffrey Pierce and Ashley Johnson. All stellar performances! Voice actors deserve their merits 🫶🏻
