Don't you hate it when you spend over 15 years of your life honing your ability to speak to computers only to have the computers start to talk to themselves? I'm going to be replaced by a bunch of logic chips when I thought I was always going to be their operator. Makes me sad.

Do you run a Plex server? Make sure that your /tmp file system is tmpfs! Plex expects to do gigabytes of writes in there whenever anyone streams. I checked my SSD writes the other day, and after six months my Plex host SSD has written 1500TB. 2TB of that is genuine.

The job market contracts during a recession. Another side effect is the increasing skill requirements. The few people left working in small companies don't have any bandwidth to train engineers who don't have domain experience.

Has anyone noticed their desire to block other Twitter users has increased in recent months? I feel like I'm being exposed to more and more accounts with dissonant or harmful ideologies and they're provoking such a strong response that I bother to mute or block.

I've noticed a neat AMD processor feature. If you debug a user space application at the first chance exception handler in a debugger for maybe an hour, you'll get a kernel exception and your Windows 10 computer will BSOD and reboot. Thanks AMD, really cool processor feature!
