What @Twitch should have said yesterday: We understand creating content continues to be a challenge for all creators, especially these past 2 years as the global economy deals with high inflation. We want to take a step back and make sure our platform can help all creators succeed from day 1 through the end of their careers. Therefore, partners will now receive 70% of all subscription revenue for their first 3K monthly subscriptions so long as the partner streams for a minimum of 20 hours for the month. Partners will be paid at 50% if they do not meet the streaming time required. The partners must also allow Twitch to control ads reducing the burden of managing these on our creators. Further, partners will be allowed to simulcast their streams to Instagram and TikTok, but not other platforms like Kick nor YouTube. Affiliates will continue to receive 50% of all sub revenue, but they can simulcast their streams to any platform.
@CouveOne @Twitch Well put! That would be amazing. The struggle is far too real for content creators and some roadblocks that they can find themselves stuck behind. The platform that they choose to work with should not be a part of that roadblock. #teamworkmakesthestreamwork
