My main proposal: test whether adding QRIS could improve paid-order conversion. No claimed results, just a research-backed hypothesis. You can see the full independent case study here medium.com/@grolab/findin…
After testing the Indonesian app, I found: • QRIS wasn't available at checkout • The English setting was incomplete That helped me decide which opportunities deserved further investigation.
What could @McDonalds_ID do to grow digital orders? I went through 100 app reviews, tested the ordering experience, and identified a few opportunities worth exploring. Here's how I turned those findings into growth experiments.
i'm begging you: - find 20 startups that raised a seed round 3 to 9 months ago (ignore any raise that happened <3 months ago) - pick the 5 that sell to the same kind of customer - find their founders on X - read their last 100 posts - pull out every question someone asked them about the product (skip the ones the founder replied to) 1. why do all this? [bookmark this right now, you’ll forget this by tomorrow] because the replies under a founder's posts are people telling you, in their own words, what they want. - people asking for alternatives - anyone annoyed about the price - "does it do X yet?" type questions - people who signed up, got stuck, and gave up put all of it in a sheet. that sheet is now a list of possible customers, the problem each one has, and the exact phrasing they use for it. next problem: 2. how do these people end up noticing you? - take the 10 questions that come up most - make one useful piece of content for each - leave your product out of it - answer the question better than the startup did - tag the startup when you post it. if it helps their users, their team reposts it and you borrow their audience - if an alternative does something better, tag them. - if your answer needs 2 or 3 products chained together, write that down. that combo is your tool in step 4 >important< someone asking whether an AI tool can do a thing? - record a 30-second clip of you doing it. when the complaint is pricing.. - line up 5 alternatives and show what each one costs once you add everything up. if a workflow keeps tripping people up.. - build a free template that handles it. do this for 30 days. 3. then check which posts sent people to your profile. - ignore likes - more bookmarks than likes means people plan to come back. repeat that topic - replies that ask a follow-up question count more - anyone who went and used one of your templates - and note which problems keep bringing in people you haven't seen before drop the topics nobody bit on and keep going on the ones that pulled people in. 4. now build a free tool for the problem that came up most. one small tool is enough for now. the full SaaS can wait. - put the link in your bio - drop it under conversations where it fits - send it directly to the people who asked for exactly this - ask users what they still can't do with it now you've got: a) an audience that cares about one specific problem b) a list of people who have already said they have it c) a free product they have a reason to try d) feedback from real users on what to build next 5. now add a paid feature. dm your 20 heaviest users first with the price and two lines on what it does. > 5 say yes, build it. > fewer than 5, the feature is wrong, the price is fine. Goal: - $10/month - 100 paying users - $1k MRR that's the target. the order is the whole trick: customers first, then what they wanted, then distribution built around their problems, and something to sell only at the end. If you read till here, reply “I’m a reader” helps me understand if I should keep my content this long. a like, repost or a reply also encourages me to keep posting. ✨
"Now the browser handles the slide, and my code waits until it's fully done. Then it resets the card to its starting spot, and only then shows the next one."
Basically: "animation library, slide this card away." It did, but it never put the card back at the center, fully visible, before showing the next one. The next card showed up carrying leftovers from the last swipe.
Gave BaoFlash a dating-app-style swipe hahaha. Then I hit a bug ➝ swipe card 1, get card 3, card 2 just vanished. Even with vibe coding, several prompts didn't fix it. So I prompt again hahaha ... what changes did AI make to get the swipe card working properly?
"Now the browser handles the slide, and my code waits until it's fully done. Then it resets the card to its starting spot, and only then shows the next one."
Next up: more vocab, smoother interactions, illustrations, and more. Try BaoFlash here → …ash-j7tkeratz-exploration3.vercel.app Constructive feedback is very welcome! 🙌
My process wasn't just back and forth prompting the whole time (that burns tokens fast lol). For this project, I actually learned HTML and CSS myself. Built it with Google Antigravity (I'm on a budget 😭), and brainstormed with my besties → Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT.
Vibe coding has become such a common thing for designers to pick up, so I'm probably late to the party. But better late than never, right? Since I'm learning Mandarin, I built this flashcard app. Right now it's simple, just 6 words with examples.
Can we take a brief moment to discuss the pure genius of this compact network and battery indicator on the iPhone Duo?
The job market is a tale of two cities right now. The difference I am noticing between the folks who are inundated with eye-watering seven-figure offers and those who have trouble finding a role is simply the ability to keep learning, adapting, and getting better. It's a brave new world out there. Gone are the days of sticky notes and following the "right process." Things to start doing : 1. Get comfortable with code. Like, now. If you missed the boat on trad code, plenty of IDEs to play with. Did you start yet? No?? I'm begging you, please. For me. 2. Build personal projects. What are you building in your free time? What is the real you, free from the shitty design systems that bind you, capable of? This also clearly demonstrates a builder's mindset and agency. 3. Work on your visual design and creativity. I think years ago, "complexity in the work" and "product thinking" allowed us to get away with weaker craft, but no more. Get weird, people. Have fun with your site and portfolio. Make something memorable. A great start would be @joshpuckett 's Interface Craft. 4. Get curious. It's a fucking designer's playground right now, there are so many fun tools out there to experiment with!
Many have asked "Is there a @mobbin for XYZ?" Here are some of my fav reference libs for Games: interfaceingame.com Decks: deck.gallery Film stills: shotdeck.com OG images: ogimage.gallery Logos: logosystem.co Brand: rebrand.gallery Microcopy: microcopy.me Emails: reallygoodemails.com Any other 🐐 sites I'm missing?
Dikirimin teman gw artikel bagus soal kompetensi hvpandya.com/hierarchy-of-c…. Mungkin ini tulisan soal karir yang paling beresonansi dengan gw belakangan ini. Baca deh, terus coba dijadiin bahan refleksi.
Design tip for non-designers/vibe coders/engineers: Miliki cycle HANYA utk improve design details kyk icons, transisi, micro-animasi, haptic feedback, potential sound effects, etc yg bs bikin produkmu lbh delightful. Di bwh contoh progress aku redesign total 51 icons utk arsip.
Beautiful and consistent iconography all over arsip 🥰
Where I go when I run out of design ideas. Save this 👇 - posts.design - best of social post design - noiced.com - daily web design inspiration - mnmm.xyz - minimal websites directory - ogpedia.xyz - OG images done right - deck.gallery - beautifully designed decks - logosystem.co - 1,200+ logos by top designers - visualjournal.it - branding & editorial projects - brandguidelines.net - real brand guidelines library - recent.design - best of recent design, daily What am I missing?
To get good animations from an AI you need to get good at telling it what you want: - "stagger this list of items" - "make this animation direction-aware" - "spacial consistency", "crossfade", "layout animation", I made a motion vocabulary for this: animations.dev/vocabulary
favorite AI design tools/resources that play a regular part in my process as of this singular moment... 1. interfacecraft.dev - Incredible resource AND tools from my buddy @joshpuckett. Probably the most craft-oriented designer I know who's also fully embraced AI as part of their process. Lots to learn from and lots of great tooling to nail UI details. 2. ui.sh - From @adamwathan and @steveschoger. The /ui skill that comes with this helps immensely with following good design principles and helping your UIs stay more consistent. Also has a killer interactive component that generates multiple iterations of an idea so you can narrow in on exactly what you want. 3. mobbin.com/mcp - "Pull 20 different error notification states to find common patterns among mobile apps" 4. claude.ai/design - Incredible tool for generating design systems for use in your apps and in marketing materials. Hard to overstate how good this is. Honorable mention: impeccable.style - I've seen a lot of folks talk about this but just haven't had a chance to try it yet. (These could all get thrown out the window tomorrow, as is the nature of AI progress.)
