Introducing ShellcodeMutator! ShellcodeMutator is a simple tool by @m0rv4i which helps red teamers avoid detection. This mutates exploit code by changing its size, hash, and byte order - not affecting its functionality but making it harder to detect. labs.nettitude.com/blog/shellcode…
@struppigel Encourage the community to support Open-Source with @rizinorg and\or @cutter_re 💜 It's free :)
@evilrez @notareverser @_CPResearch_ @LabsSentinel @IntezerLabs I gotta say I’m a cutter fan. I moved from radare2 to rizin a while back. I like using rizin for a lot of scripted analysis / re. Means what I write is accessible to anyone since rz/r2 is open source.
@notareverser @Qutluch You can find radare2, cutter or rizin on @_CPResearch_, @LabsSentinel and @IntezerLabs blogs :)
Those #Ghidra screenshots. Next it’ll be #rizin
In early 2022, Mandiant detected & responded to an incident where #APT29 successfully phished a European diplomatic entity & ultimately abused the Windows Credential Roaming feature. Read the blog post for more on this research.👇 mndt.info/3FZp7Pk
@rizinorg is working on the new Rizin package manager github.com/rizinorg/rz-pm to ease installation of plugins. It is a very simple iteration at this point, but you can already build/install/uninstall a selected set of meson-based plugins! See github.com/rizinorg/rz-pm… for the list
Amazing!
Cutter v2.1.0 has been released! 🚀 Introducing exciting new features including auto-detection of common library functions, a YARA plugin to quickly create and test signatures, and many more. Make sure to try it @ github.com/rizinorg/cutte… More info in the thread >>
This is big! Huge congrats to the @cutter_re team for getting this done! Hoping all #malwareAnalysis folks out there will find this useful! h/t to @lennyzeltser for the notification. Thanks man! #malware #dfir
One of the most requested features finally arrives! 🎉 Cutter releases now come with out-of-the-box support for recognizing library functions using FLIRT signatures. Cutter will automatically detect common library functions (libc, openssl, NDK, libgcc, Visual Studio, ...). >>
A new YARA plugin is now integrated with Cutter and will allow signature developers to quickly write YARA signatures from Cutter's interface. Users can also load Yara rules, scan the opened binary and inspect the matched strings directly from Cutter.

I can't express how excited I am for these new releases of @cutter_re and @rizinorg ❤️ Auto-detection of common library functions is essential to our day-to-day work as reverse engineers, and the integrated support for Yara is super useful for malware researchers. I'm so happy 😊

@sar5430 @wrongbaud @rizinorg Nice, I tend to use both Ghidra and Rizin/Cutter, because both tools have their strengths and weaknesses. 🙂
