French protesters aren’t failing for lack of revolutionary will. They’re failing because the target moved. In 1968 the state could be pressured because the state controlled the economy. Now the bondholders do, and they don’t answer to French voters. The National Assembly can’t restore the schools because debt service comes first. That’s why the cycle repeats. You don’t build parallel institutions against a bond market. You break it. What the left abandoned in 1983, when Mitterrand capitulated to the franc fort, was national credit and directed investment in production. Nobody has offered it since. Protests are a symptom that the program is missing.

Anarcho-tyranny (sometimes written anarcho-tyrannism) is a political concept coined by the paleoconservative columnist Samuel T. Francis in the early 1990s, mainly in essays for Chronicles. Francis defined it as the combination of two things that look like opposites: Oppressive government power aimed at the innocent and law-abiding. J’habite et travaille à Paris. Pour que les gens comprennent : il n’y a pas eu 10 % de l’acte III des gilets jaunes aujourd’hui. La seule différence, c’est que la police n’est pas intervenue pour stopper le pillage. Des commerçants m’expliquent que personne ne répond au téléphone (police municipale ou nationale), personne n’est intervenu : des mecs ont ravagé des arrondissements pendant des heures. THE EUROPEAN SPRING

Macron's plan is not de-escalation. It is escalation. This is the old strategy of tension. Let the protests become more radical. Let the anti-protester camp become more radical in return. Push both sides further apart until they are fighting each other and the whole country becomes more divided. A country at war with itself is much easier to control. Then Macron can step in as the reasonable man, calling for peace, stability and a return to normality. He presents himself as the only one capable of restoring order. But look at what comes with that promise: more police powers, more surveillance, more restrictions and a state that keeps tightening its grip on society. First create the chaos, then present yourself as the man who can save the country from it. This is how you turn a crisis into an opportunity to expand your power. The more divided and frightened the French become, the easier it is to convince them that they must sacrifice more of their freedoms in exchange for security. The objective is not to bring France together. It is to make people accept more control in the name of restoring order.

Classic Western media double standard. BBC: Indian Gen Z “feisty” protesters “taking on Modi” → heroic, amplified, framed as democratic awakening. Same BBC on France: student protests → “manipulated,” radical left weaponising, political plot ahead of elections. Playbook is simple. When it hits a non-aligned country (India, BRICS pressure, Modi), Western media cheers the streets. When it hits the West itself, suddenly it’s suspicion, NGOs, manipulation. Not about students. About who the narrative serves.
