I rolled out the green to my entire office... now I need suggestions for a new lamp āĀ this one shines in my eyes too much whilst Iām working

User feedback hits differently than client feedback. A project I helped on went live yesterday, hereās a comment from one of the users: āWhoever the dev is for the web needs a pat on the back, that looks so f*cking niceā We were a small team, but everyone made it happen š
Wild to think how many variations of the same thing Iāve built over the years... Iām building a nav today... fortunately, Iāve not had to build a mega-nav in a good number of years (and today doesnāt break that streek either) š¤£
Over a year after doing a project for a client, theyāve come back asking for some updates (paid). Guess it pays to do a good job the first time around.
I got through 2.5 books last month... walking + audiobooks are such a great combo šš§
I started playing around with a potential dark-mode style for Stryve āĀ really liking these earthier tones but I may end up tweaking some of the shades.
Not one I expected to get live this year, but I managed to launch the MVP for my side project ā Stryve. Outside of design and dev, cooking and health are 2 of my biggest interests. Iāve still a lot to do but a great foundation to start the new year on: stryve.life
Today Iām working on my business. Iām going to work on narrowing down my focus even further āĀ so itāll be a day with a lot of thinking and writing content for this new focus.
I picked up SEO for everyone on Sunday from @abookapart, Iām about 1/3 of the way through so far. Itās nice to see a user-focused way of doing SEO instead of trying to game the system. abookapart.com/products/seo-fā¦

One of the worst things I can do if I want a good nights sleep is work in the evening (especially on a side project). As much as I want to progress on my projects that side-effect isnāt worth it.
Iāve had so much fun over the past couple of days working on my own project. I need to squeeze some design work in for a client and do some admin but then Iām back to it āĀ autonomy is great!
Spent a good chunk of this morning taking some photos for my website. Some will be temporary but theyāre look decent so farā¦
Iāve been contracting part-time at an agency for just over a month now, yesterday I extended my contract from the end of the year till the end of March. This means I donāt have to book any new work for the next 5 months and can use the rest of my time to work on my own stuff š
Towards the end of this week, Iāll either start a new client project or start building a new side project (which Iāve already designed up). If itās the latter, Iāll try and share as much progress as I go š
