I like the lamp so much I returned the first one with all the stripped pieces and got another but used my hardened tools on it.

Second, the set screws must be made from the same mickey-mouse soft alloy metal, as the set screws strip far too easily.

first the tool to tighten the joints is made from very mickey-mouse and soft alloy, allowing it to strip well before you tighten the joints.
