@compactmag_ I break down the #TwitterFilesBrazil. As an actual free speech absolutist, I commend all efforts to defend speech. The trouble with @shellenberger's account, is that he engages in the same selective journalism as the mainstream media. 1/6 compactmag.com/article/why-mu…

Go figure Tesla isn't doing so well in Brazil @compactmag_ . Note, I was genuinely optimistic when Musk took over Twitter and in some ways, X is better but that doesn't mean we should lick this guy's boots like he wants us to. 3/6 #FreeSpeech
This is the same dude (Musk) who has deliberately suppressed original Twitter Files coauthor @mtaibbi's X content for continuing to use @SubstackInc. Weird, maybe that's why the more submissive @shellenberger continues to work with him. 4/6 thehill.com/homenews/media…
Oh that's right, I almost forgot. What @shellenberger conveniently fails to tell you in the #TwitterFilesBrazil is that Bolsonaro tried to do a military coup & the courts helped elect him in 2018 @compactmag_ . This isn't an excuse but it's definitely worth telling readers! 5/6

@rojasrjuand @shellenberger @compactmag_ All the more reason to be suspicious of how powerful the courts are, no? Not to mention Lava Jato shutting the construction industry down mid 2010s
@rojasrjuand @shellenberger @compactmag_ Thank you for saying that. The suspended Twitter accounts were supporters of an ongoing coup attempt, led by former president. If Musk thinks Brazil should have accepted the risks of keeping them online, he should make this case. (+)
