I always prefer native event loop monitoring over attaching profilers to debug stalls. The livekit-agents 1.8.2 update surfaces asyncio blocking calls in Agent Insights. If you run voice agents, check your event loop for synchronous blocks. Source: github.com/livekit/agents…

Assuming a fixed sleep secures the final voice agent's goodbye is false, causing truncated speech or dead air. The sleep guesses a variable utterance length, and session close interrupts playout. I await playout capped at 6 s instead, and shield the 5 s room delete from timeouts.

Treating LiveKit as one binary causes silent SIP failures. It is four containers failing independently. UDP port volume forces host networking, so a restart can leave stale containers holding port 5060. Clear host ports using a down-before-up systemd step. dreamchasers.lt/blog/livekit-s…

Outbound calls dropped the first thing the callee said. The SIP leg active attribute flips a beat before the audio is subscribed. I played the opener into a pipe nothing was reading yet. Gate the greeting on track subscription, not the active signal. dreamchasers.lt/blog/echo-canc…
