A few weeks ago I was stuck at 100 subscriptions. Today I’ve reached 120, and MRR is growing alongside 🚀
Once a few apps start working, the snowball effect kicks in.
Just got my first 2 subscriptions since the full redesign of my couple app!
Before, it was running on in-app purchases and averaged around $100/month.
Now it’s subscription-based, excited to see where this goes!

Spent the last month giving new life to an old app.
5 years ago I built a simple couple game (55K downloads, $6.5K revenue, 1% conversion… not great). I abandoned it.
After watching @adamlyttleapps ’s video on couple apps, I realized I might’ve underestimated its potential.…
A/B testing is a cheat code.
One small paywall design change (took 1–2h) → doubled my subscription conversions.
Never underestimate simple experiments.
After being stuck at 100 subscriptions, growth is picking up again 🚀 Closing in on 110!
I’m also wrapping up a new app that could open up another stream of subscriptions. Can’t wait to see the results!
10 hours of non-stop work today. Needless to say, I won’t have the energy to work on my new app tonight. Balancing a full-time job and indie dev isn’t always easy.
Here’s my ASO process:
– I jot down every app idea I get
– Use Astro to pick the best ones (high pop, low comp) & select keywords
– Title format: Keyword1 Keyword2 – AppName
– Beautiful icon + screenshots to boost conversions
– Maximize in-app reviews during the launch boost

Confession: I planned to build a new app.
Watched one episode of Better Call Saul…
Two weeks later: no app, but I’m a legal drama expert.
Just a few episodes left, then I swear I’m back
My best app converts 16% of users to trial, and I have two others with similar rates.
But some of my apps are only hitting 2–3%… that’s a massive revenue loss.
Curious: what’s your trial conversion rate, especially for your identifier-style apps?

My latest app launch gave it a nice bump thanks to the boost. Now that the boost ended a few days ago, it's likely to dip a bit.
Still super motivating to see the effect a good launch can have.
Time to build a new app again!
Estimated dev time: 1 week.
I’ve got 5–6 ideas lined up, but I can only build one at a time.
And after each launch, I usually take a short break, building apps on top of a day job is intense!
The Boost on my new app did its job:
➡️ ~€700 MRR
➡️ 25 subscriptions (10% trial → paid conversion)
Now the real test begins. Boost is over… let’s see if the app can stand on its own
