@kevinroose How ironic that you’re doing the exact same oversimplification you claim of others. The Stochastic Parrots paper was written by people far more knowledgeable about this tech then yourself, but instead of engaging the salient points raised in the paper, you just hand wave it away.

@kevinroose @mikiebarb @Nataliekitro Maybe try learning about how this tech really works and then you’ll stop coming up with ridiculous analysis that acts like LLMs are sentient robots out of a bad movie. Here’s a podcast on the subject by someone who knows what they’re talking about podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/dee…

@eric_nehm @TheAthletic Unlike these bandwagon trolls, long time fans who suffered through the awful years before Giannis’s ascension know you were there on the beat. No one more qualified to write a retrospective.

@MichaelRedd_ Well said. And the ones who give it all they got are not forgotten by the real fans. And Michael Redd is one of them

@Aligned_SI @anneapplebaum "The dishwasher I sell sometimes doesn't clean dishes. The lesson isn't that the dishwasher can't be trusted to clean dishes, it's that organizations need processes to ensure humans know when to eat off of the dishes in the dishwasher"

@hottakecarley @RiotFest @gwar @elonmusk @X Hahahaha you should have seen what they did to a pregnant Taylor swift and her fetus. You’d have loved it.

@SenBillCassidy I mean, it's not like Kennedy lied to your face or anything, so I'm sure those assurances are solid gold. What a chump!

@thepointsguy Maybe TPG should dig a little deeper on this and include the context of Wall Street vampires like Elliott Investment pushing for these changes or how this whole market should never have been allowed to become this concentrated in the first place.

@ReserveClaret @thepointsguy Yeah, how dare they! Who makes people use their hands. No one has the time or energy to point! Truly unforgiveable. I don't eat at places that make me put straws in my own drink either.

@winter_bradl @Barwickipedia You must be a real hit at parties. I bet you have a big poster of George Zimmerman on your wall too.

@derrickvanorden "I shoved a small woman when I cut in front of her in line, then I claimed it was 'political violence'" This is beyond pathetic.

@SohrabAhmari This is a joke, right? 80% of the authors of this insane plan were literally in his administration. popular.info/p/what-trump-d…

@JudgeBradleyWI If anyone was underserving of having a library named after him, it's Prosser. And if anyone is worthy of insulting, it's also Prosser.

@JudgeBradleyWI Conveniently leaving out that he was on the court when the voted to change it to his name. What type of arrogant jerk off votes for his own name to be put on something? Prosser of course.

@DanODonnellShow Yet Dan isn't mad at the R's in the Senate blocking a bill that would change when ballot counting can begin. So he's either ignorant of how it works or lying...which NEVER happens here! wisconsinwatch.org/2024/03/wiscon…

@EricWeishaar @DanODonnellShow Yet the two state constitutional referendum questions on the ballot pushed by the GOP ended up passing. So how does that square with your "voting isn't real" conspiracy?

@brettdash_ @litcapital Never thought I'd have to ask, but what's your definition of "human" in this context?

@mfriedrichnyc @thebafflermag ...in which the writer uses his English degree to yell "sellout" in a 10k word essay, complaining about everything that he doesn't think is punk, including the museum. How someone so full of judgment and snark could unironically retread the "punk sellout" angle in 2023 is rich.
