@samyam_youtube I switched 2 years ago from Unity. There are a couple things I miss from Unity, but overall Unreal is just so good and once you get over that learning curve, I'm finding it so much easier to work with over Unity.

@babybunloaf @jdragsky @Sophistrys_Sake They shouldn’t have to. But, unfortunately we live in a bad world that won’t get better without folks doing that labor.

@gekido @NakedFighter3D Above all else, this stuff is the reason I moved away from Unity. They hype a feature, release it (untested in a game environment), and then put the team on other things ensuring it never gets better.

@thomasbrushdev And the last one I can think of is that if you want to do something that would require a plug-in purchase in unity, chances are they have something built in to unreal for it. Though the documentation con still applies

@thomasbrushdev The only pro I might add is the ability to quickly and easily see how something works in the engine code itself, and make changes to it for your own game. As I far as I recall, doing so in unity was gatekept behind some massive fees

@thomasbrushdev I started making the Unity to Unreal swap about a year ago. A lot of fun, mostly smooth. Some unity specific things/philosophies are real hard to unlearn though…
