Women do not have to smile for the camera beside men we do not like. Grace Tame is not a public servant, a diplomat, a photo-op model or the property of the government. She’s an advocate who’s watched Morrison fail, belittle and ignore survivors all year. Why would she smile?
@sallyrugg @MargMcCrohon Omg this is on par with grace Your photo with 🥔 Spud 👍🏻
@sallyrugg Because he is hosting her at his house. She didn’t have to go. I don’t go to parties hosted by people I don’t like .
@sallyrugg No, she does not have to. But learning to act less childishly on such formal occasions might be useful if she plans to continue a public life. Hate him or not, the PM has handled the whole episode with more class. And we all know it.
@sallyrugg There's still that perception though that women should be compliant & tolerant, & not display their true feelings. It's absurd.
@sallyrugg You look absolutely gorgeous in every photo.😻💕❤️
@sallyrugg Hey Sally, I have no issue with the non-smile. Do you think the same in relation to the looking at the ground when shaking his hand?
@sallyrugg Even on her final day she is still the “News of the Day”. We need more advocates like @TamePunk !!
@sallyrugg @BryanReddog6714 My 95 yr old father only ever refused to shake the hand of one man, who was a dishonest liar. It's about authenticity.
@sallyrugg Anyone whining about the proper way to behave at a photo-op don't seem to grasp that being photographed with this Prime Minister is no opportunity for Grace
