Manchester City's players behaved with the smug arrogance of men who appeared to believe they were embarking on the first stage of a redemption tour at Anfield on Sunday. It was part of the 'we do what we want' culture that dominates the modern club dailymail.com/sport/football…

Interesting times at @ManCity who have almost no debt, have poured hundreds of millions into regenerating their local area and have the best youth system in the country so they must be punished by the PL. @ManUtd sacked half their employees , racked up a £1 billion + debt , funnelled their profits to the Cayman Islands and get to set the PL spending rules. Funny old game as Greavsie used to say.

Do we now start suspecting that all white male teachers are pedophiles after two were found guilty of raping children in the past two days? Isn't that how it works?

Rayan Cherki : “to be frank with you today, i don’t know why some people don’t like me. i can understand that i have a profile that bothers some people. maybe because i have a big beard. but for me that’s what makes us strong. when i see the french team, its a magnificent french team with a lot of diversity. with many different stories and that’s what makes france strong today”

The best Pep memory for me is that press conference before the CL semis Clasico at the Bernabeu when he completely rinsed Mourinho and then we schooled them in the match itself to top it off. That press conference was iconic.

@rabbaniihamza Too late I'm convinced, felt like I was watching City last night. 433, Inverted fullbacks, two #8's, RW Isolation etc. Still a few years of City and Liverpool but Don Arteta, he's taking you to the top.

The elites are judged by how many tactical chinks they have in their armour. Pep, Klopp, & Arteta have none. It’s why they’re all brilliant. Ten Hag is edging towards that level too. Potter’s Chelsea? Too flawed. Conte’s Spurs? The same. They’ll never compete unless they change.
