Becoming a dad has given me a whole new set of creative briefs. This one: “What’s behind the door?” 🚪
I turned it into an A–H alphabet game: watch, listen, build words and collect eight stars.
Made for my two boys. Shared with your little explorers. 🌱
Eight doors. Eight letters. What’s hiding behind each one? 🚪✨
Watch, listen and collect stars in our new A–H alphabet game for ages 3–6.
Made by dad @samiphere. Shared with your family. 🌱

@ScytheMayCry Fair question. AI shouldn’t be the meal just because it’s the newest seasoning. If it doesn’t make the learning or play better, it can stay in the kitchen.

@RyanSael Exactly. “Screen time” is far too blunt a label — there’s a world of difference between passive scrolling and making a rocket nozzle behave. This looks properly fun.
@petergyang This could quietly unlock a lot of small, strange, brilliant apps. Subscription maths has probably killed more fun ideas than bad design ever did 😅
@alliekmiller Voice feels especially natural for kids. Typing is a faff when you’re five; talking already is the interface. The trick is making it feel playful, not like a tiny call centre.
@sbenodiz Great to meet you too! I’m building Ray Ray & Dodu for younger kids, mainly ages 3–6 — turning family moments into playful English learning adventures.
Here’s what we’re building: rayraydodu.com
I’d love to see what you’re creating for ages 5–10 too!
I started with a simple idea: make something with my boys, not just for them.
Moon Night takes a little moment from our family life and turns it into a playful learning adventure — with a little help from AI 🌙
What would you make with your kids?

@index_academyhk Love seeing this being built in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 Using GenAI to preserve local culture is much more meaningful than using it just for novelty. Have students explored turning family stories or neighbourhood memories into prompts too?
@NebraskaEarly “Play is serious learning” is exactly it. Building with my two boys has taught me that curiosity shows up first, and the learning follows. Which loose-part activities do you find spark the most conversation?
@nalibaliSA Stories, songs and laughter really are the perfect learning stack. I’m building playful English adventures with my two boys, and the moments they remember are always the ones with a story attached. Beautiful work.
@valistusschool This is such a lovely example of learning hiding inside play. My boys always reveal more through role-play than a worksheet ever could. What part of the supermarket activity got the biggest reaction?
This is the little world I’ve been quietly building with my boys 🌱
