Lately I've been asked quite often what AI-native development is really supposed to look like and what true AI-native actually means. To make my vision of it more intuitive, I've put together a short video to explain. To put it simply, in traditional software development, we rely on heavy code reviews, design docs and careful engineering of a solution to steer clear of potential roadblocks, ensuring we have a safe path to reach our desired functionality. In an AI-native workflow, however, we no longer try to foresee and avoid those obstacles. Instead, we use AI to generate and test a massive number of potential paths. If a path turns out to be wrong, we simply reject it, and then we find the best one out of all the successful routes. How do we find it? That part is handled by our CI pipeline. We can then scale that exact same approach horizontally across multiple isolated features, multiplying our software development efficiency exponentially.
