while i was deep in grief, i was researching brain waves & one thing i learned is that during severe depression/grief, we experience theta waves (which usually occur only before deep sleep) while we are awake. we literally sleepwalk through life due to sadness. just wild.
imagine if i was like: wow, this tweet is really doing numbers, here's a link to a salt lamp you can get 20% off with my code GRIEFSQUAD
@sarahroseetter I have years of memory loss after my big loss - is that related?
@sarahroseetter If you have a new baby it makes it worse! All I remember from the months after my mum died is crying my eyes out while breastfeeding
@sarahroseetter I heard things that you consume or experience in a theta state (first 7 years of your life + sleep) determine your programming and future thought patterns, it's like hypnosis. So I would advise in the depressive state not to listen to more depressing music etc..
@sarahroseetter 🙃 this makes sense
@sarahroseetter As time passes your body will remember traumatic events/grief before your mind does. Anxiety/panic attacks can occur. It's wild that you can be in a calm place (location) & yet your body is in flight or fight due to a trigger. Maybe triggers are stored during the theta waves.
@sarahroseetter @Amber0sborne This may be why so many powerful dreamers have been touched by melancholy.
