A7: early on this one: I do what I do to make connections to kids and adults. I walk in to teach each day, not just Spanish, that’s what...why...to make kids smile each day and know someone’s there for them. #sau25videochat

A6: biggest takeaway: getting information is easy. How you connect what you learn from that info to things you know and how you use that information to create...that is what differentiates you from others. #sau25videochat

A5: This could fail. (I like this). I have students create video blogs speaking Spanish throughout the year where they wing a convo. These are completion grades, but each quarter they watch and reflect on improvement. Mistakes don’t count, just seeing growth. #sau25videochat

Q2: I wish we didn’t have grading constraints, but since we do, I can try to have sts explore more and I teach less, but guide more. I’ve tried recently to give kids some material, have them come up with the language rules based on what they see & they teach. #sau25videochat

My biggest takeaway from video 1 (late, sorry) is how? How do we measure success if each student is different. Calibration of how we grade seems unnecessary if we do believe each student’s definition of success is different. #sau25videochat
