Approximately 99 percent of a panda’s diet – bamboo leaves and shoots – is void of much nutritional value.

An adult Giant Panda is about 150 centimetres long and weighs about 90 kilograms, although the biggest one ever weighed was 180 kilograms.
Giant Pandas are becoming extinct because the bamboo forests in China are being destroyed by man.
