If King Charles truly wants to show leadership and modernise the monarchy, then acknowledging the institutional racism within it is the only way forward. My latest @YahooNews column: uk.news.yahoo.com/when-race-brit…
@scobie @YahooNews Because you're the authority! 🤦♂️ 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@scobie @YahooNews What King Charles and the UK need to grapple with is that racism is not just baked into the monarchy - the entire country is steeped in it. The country has never had to truly deal with its history of slavery and continuing racism. We fought a war over it in the US.
@scobie @YahooNews And acknowledge Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie 🥺
@scobie @YahooNews Ofcourse and starting with his household. The withholding/refusal of Archie and lili's Royal highnesses from being updated in the Royal website is a glaring complicity of king charles in the Royal rascism saga.
@scobie @YahooNews Great comment piece Omid. Especially as it has been revealed today that the Royal Family missed their staff diversity target. We all knew Meghan wasn't lying about the racism she faced but some rabid haters continue to foam at the mouth and call her a liar mirror.co.uk/news/royals/ro…
@scobie @YahooNews The most racist people in history are not the Brits… or white peoples. Just sayin’! But you have a mission. Enjoy.
@scobie @YahooNews again, the dress the lady wore was cultural looking, yes? therefore, the Lady in question asked nothing R-card. She was curious, it is the older English way. you all are making a mountain out of a molehill and I am mixed race fyi.
@scobie @YahooNews or why not ask why Harry didn't have much of a say for important people could stay when they visited from Africa, for example, for some of his charities, before marrying Meghan? Harry's charities, shouldn't he speak up more? I always thought he should...
