It’s #SignLanguageWeek! 🎉 British Sign Language (BSL) is the most commonly used sign language in the UK. It was recognised by the government as a language in its own right in 2003 and was legally recognised as a language of Britain in 2022. Read more: bit.ly/3YBLFv8
Sign Language week is an awareness week for British and Irish Sign Language. It commemorates BSL being acknowledged as a language in its own right by the UK Government on 18 March 2003. CI staff will be sharing their sign names throughout the week to celebrate.

This morning, 130 people gathered at University Hospital Crosshouse to hear speakers at the Cochlear Implant Collaborative Care Symposium. The team were joined by Emily McKenzie for a Q&A on her experiences ahead of International Cochlear Implant Day on Sunday.
To celebrate #internationalcochlearimplantday the Scottish Cochlear Implant Team hosted a collaborative care day for professionals throughout Scotland. A huge thanks to everyone who attended to increase awareness and develop best joint working between teams throughout Scotland
