The latest version of the regular (non-ALE) firmware V2.42.00 also includes optional AES-256 encryption using fixed key and dynamic key operation compliant with the Diffie Hellman Elliptic Key algorithm. It can be used if a valid AES-256 feature license is stored in the modem.

The PTC-IIIusb is no longer produced, the remaining stock is being sold at a significantly reduced price from today. In the EU, the retail price is now 499 instead of 898 Euros. For price inquiries outside the EU, please contact your local dealer.

PMON, a free PACTOR monitoring utility for Linux, has been released today. It allows the thorough observation and documentation of all presently available PACTOR-1/2/3 transmissions and even automatically decompresses Winlink-LZHUF messages on the fly. See p4dragon.com/en/PMON.html

Unfortunately, because of rising component costs, SCS is forced to raise the modem prices from January 1, 2019. The old and the new price list can be found on the SCS website. Orders received by December 31, 2018 will still be delivered on the old terms.

The SCSmail version 2.3.0.0 is now available in the download area of the SCS web site. It fixes an issue with a scan abort during signal analysis and corrects the selection of 19200 baud for the transceiver control.

The new P4dragon firmware V2.30.94 is now available at the download area of the SCS website. It fixes a bug with the Bluetooth MAC address and with the Bluetooth LED (not blinking after power on). For information on the news in previous releases, see the "Firmware History".

The new firmware version 1.7l for the SCS Tracker / DSP-TNC is now available at the SCS website. The new command “@X” allows to define an APRS digipeater call. The range of the command “%AD” is extended to 0-4. With "4", only packets with the customized callsign are digipeated.
