I’ve said this about 200 times tbh. What I notice about a lot of arts industries is that the UK doesn’t fully know how to look after it’s Black women artists until they succeed in the US and/or EU.
@seedtheband_ needs to get to the USA because there is much more of a deep appreciation for large ensemble arranging over there for sure… Large ensemble and big band writing is much more respected.

At the Purcell Room @southbankcentre Sunday evening @cassiekinoshi with @seedtheband_ + @LCOrchestra + @NikNakdjmusic = excellent original jazz which delighted me and a sellout audience. Only gripe was that the gig was barely 60 minutes. 🤔
