California would become the first state to require new vehicles be equipped with speed governors — technology that limits how fast they can be driven — under legislation by San Francisco state Sen. Scott Wiener. trib.al/QMuCCkO
@sfchronicle @ajlamesa Glad I’m leaving the state…
@sfchronicle This will be great when the murderers are chasing you..
@sfchronicle Why 10 mph over the limit? Then what’s the limit for? Should there be a difference for dense environments like cities??? 10mph over in San Francisco is different vs i5. A little speeding is ok but not too much. WTF??? Make up your mind to actually enforce laws we already have.
@sfchronicle I have a novel idea: Why not try to enforce laws already on the books and stop creating more bureaucracy and useless job killing regulations??? Correct me if I am wrong, but is t speeding already illegal in this state?
@sfchronicle The only people who would buy a car like that are parents buying their 16 year old their first car. No adult would willingly buy a car whose speed is automatically limited.
@sfchronicle Add it to the list of ridiculous laws
@sfchronicle It’s getting closer to the point where one needs to ask, “Will the last sane person leaving California please turn off the lights”?
@sfchronicle That’s more authoritarian than the People’s Republic of China!
@sfchronicle I’m sure every drug dealer and addict will get one
