McKenna didn't get anymore ice time because he was nervous about finding a ride home.

@Zynlord6969 @BenoitForHart I'm in the same boat! I just have to remember, I'm a fan of the team and the players will come and go, management will come and go, ownership will even come and go. We're in it for the ride and this year is one hell of an exciting year!!

@_JordanDecker His future value greatly exceeded his AAV, he was the perfect bargaining chip to get a deal done for a current peak performing player, whereas Knies will probably peak in 3 years when you need to re-sign him to a much larger AAV.

@xwleblancx I'm pretty sure this is why we had the cap space lol, it was either to pick up Marchenko or Werenski

@TMLOak23 These guys are professional athletes, this is part of the job. Teammates come and go, this isn't physed class! Matthews wants to win!! Knies was a great player, but we need peak Knies this year, not in 3 years!

@DML939 @NorrisWinner I will hate to see Knies go, that kid has a special place in my heart, he had that Tavares assist in game 6 to get us out of the first round since 2004, then he scored the first goal in round 2 against Florida. Sadly we need peak Knies this year, not 3 years from now.

@GrantPaulsen He's Russian.... Ovi didn't/doesn't have a choice, they're a authoritarian government where if you don't do what you're told, you fall out of a window and poof you're gone.
