Even well-organized events have little turnout, it happens in organizing all the time. All you can do is have a good marketing plan and build relationships with the 1-2 people who do show up, without internalizing it.
Once I planned an event for WEEKS and besides people from my office, the only people who came were my friend and mom. But thats okay! Because we all still learned.
@sheabutterfemme I went to a coworking space event about SEO. Ten or twelve people signup up, but I was the only one who actually showed. She taught the class just for me and I’ve sent her SO MANY referrals! $$$$
@sheabutterfemme Been there so many times. Makes me think back to my childhood church days. When one or two are gathered in my name. Quality. not always quantity.
@sheabutterfemme 🙌🏾 The not internalizing it part is key for me... still learning!
@sheabutterfemme Thanks for this reminder to reevaluate how I approach my work.
@sheabutterfemme This^ I planned something in high school that opened my eyes. And at the end, being grateful to the people that do show up is important instead of being hung up on the people that didn’t.
@sheabutterfemme @noellearchives Damn. Really needed this
@sheabutterfemme Love this! There is still so much value in being present with the two people that showed up.
