Some Friday afternoon Michigan political news: Michigan Republicans have crafted a plan, obtained by @detroitnews, to use both the Feb. 27 primary and 13 district caucuses on March 2 to decide which presidential candidates get the state's delegates. detroitnews.com/story/news/pol…
This a complete violation of bylaws and transparency in addition to stealing our vote. I am a delegate and have been removed from their communications despite my repeated efforts to be put back on their mailing list. I suspect they have deliberately removed Republicans like myself who oppose their efforts.
@shoesonplease @CraigDMauger @detroitnews Leopard eating your face, Anna?
@shoesonplease @CraigDMauger @detroitnews The problem is that if only the open primary is used, due to the date the legislature picks - delegates are reduced to 12 from 52 or 55 due to penalties from RNC (not amendable) This proposal isn't perfect, but at least keeps that primary while likely avoiding the penalty.
@shoesonplease @CraigDMauger @detroitnews Absolutely. It has become part and parcel the Uniparty
@shoesonplease @CraigDMauger @detroitnews Anna admitting she is irrelevant. Seems apropos.
@shoesonplease @CraigDMauger @detroitnews Republicans aren't really concerned with "democracy" though.
