@lin_xi_qin LOL. Thank you scammer app operator from Germany, Best of Luck! @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore

🚨 It’s unfortunate that the App Store team takes down apps from developers for using brand names, yet seemingly takes no action against this app or its developer. Why the double standard, @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore? This app uses the Google Calendar brand name and a similar identity that could confuse users into thinking it’s official. 🔎 Please investigate this developer’s account, review its apps, and take strict action if they violate App Store guidelines. All developers should be held to the same standards. 🔗 apps.apple.com/us/app/calenda…

@lin_xi_qin @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore @ScamDetectorBot @AlexJamesgbkx @theJoshMeister @Appledsign @lin_xi_qin, go ahead and report him, but please report this account as well. Don’t be biased; the same standards should apply to everyone. apps.apple.com/us/app/calenda…

@lin_xi_qin, you’re right that these apps are misleading users, but you should also report misleading apps whose developers are not from Pakistan. The same standards should apply to everyone, regardless of nationality. And if you want to talk about history, I know yours too. Maybe it’s time to stop hiding behind an anonymous account and reveal your real identity, kid. 😂 @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore

@hector_iosdev Just like this person @lin_xi_qin do? Then better to tag them Pakistani and report they got there account banned within a days. @Apple @AppleSupport @AppleSupport

This person keeps labeling people as Pakistani and appears to be reporting apps based on bias rather than objective evidence. Please look into this behavior and ensure that developers are treated fairly, regardless of their nationality. @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore @theJoshMeister @AlexJamesgbkx @ScamDetectorBot

First of all, I’m not from Pakistan. Secondly, why the defensive reaction when the discussion turns toward your side, even though I haven’t mentioned any individual? Please stop repeatedly referring to developers as “Pakistani developers.” It creates the impression that you are targeting developers from a specific region, which raises serious concerns about potential bias. I would also encourage you to maintain a professional tone. Your responses come across as though you have a personal interest in defending these apps, rather than discussing the issue objectively. It gives the impression that you see developers raising these concerns as competitors. Regarding the app, using “App for” instead of another phrase does not automatically resolve the issue. The app is titled “Calendar for Google Calendar,” which prominently uses Google’s brand name and could confuse users about whether it is officially affiliated with Google. I have attached a screenshot and included the app link below for reference. @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore, please investigate this matter, including the app and the concerns surrounding how developers are being reported. The App Store is open to developers worldwide, and its guidelines should be enforced consistently and fairly, regardless of nationality. It is concerning if developers face account restrictions based on inconsistent enforcement or biased reporting. I’m from the Netherlands, yet I have been accused of being Pakistani simply because I raised concerns about a potentially misleading app. Criticism of an app should be evaluated on its merits, not on assumptions about the person reporting it. I urge @Apple to review this situation objectively and ensure that all developers are treated fairly and held to the same standards.

@everton_dev Yeah it’s good step taken by @AppStore but it’s unfortunate that @AppStore still hasn’t taken action against this apps that use well-known brand names like Google Calendar, etc to attract users and potentially mislead them into thinking they’re official. @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore apps.apple.com/us/app/calenda…

@seraleev It’s unfortunate that Apple still hasn’t taken action against this app or similar apps that use well-known brand names like Google Calendar to attract users and potentially mislead them into thinking they’re official. @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore, please investigate and take action to protect users from this confusion. apps.apple.com/us/app/calenda…

🚨 Apple, please investigate this App Store listing! ⚠️ Using recognizable brand names and similar app icons can mislead users into thinking an app is official. 🔎 Please review this app, enforce App Store guidelines, and remove it if it violates your policies. 🛡️ Users deserve transparency and a clear distinction between official and third-party apps — before they download. 🔗 apps.apple.com/us/app/calenda… @Apple @AppleSupport @AppStore @Google @Googlecalendar #MacAppStore #AppStore #Gmail #Google #ScamApps #ConsumerProtection #CyberSecurity

I am reporting an apparent unauthorized use of the ChatOn app icon, owned by AIBY Inc. The Mac app “AI Chatbot - Ask Anything” (App ID: 6447312365) by Neural Techlabs is using an icon that closely resembles the official ChatOn icon. Disputed app: apps.apple.com/ni/app/ai-chat… Official ChatOn: x.com/chaton_app?s=21 The attached screenshot shows the icon used in version 19.1.25, while the current icon also closely resembles ChatOn's official visual identity. The distinctive overall design may create user confusion and warrants an intellectual-property review. I respectfully request that Apple investigate whether the developer has authorization from AIBY Inc. to use this artwork and take appropriate action if not. I can provide additional dated evidence and comparisons upon request. @Apple @chaton_app @AppleSupport

@ScamDetectorBot @AppStore Here is app screenshot I’m attaching now

🚨 We found a ChatGPT lookalike on Apple’s Mac App Store charging as much as $159.99. It uses an icon closely resembling OpenAI’s logo and puts “ChatGPT” in its subtitle — but it isn’t made by OpenAI. And that was only the beginning. We checked 58 written reviews across 37 storefronts. 37 are one-star reviews, and multiple buyers call the app fake, a scam or an imitation. One customer says they were charged more than $150 after believing they were getting the real ChatGPT. The same developer operates three overlapping chatbot apps. On Apple’s Irish App Store, all three are listed as “not a trader,” and Apple tells EEA consumers that consumer rights do not apply to agreements with the provider. Then we widened the investigation. We searched hundreds of Mac App Store listings and found dozens of third-party apps using major brand names such as ChatGPT, Google Drive, Dropbox, Discord, TikTok and TradingView. One thing Mac users should know: ⚠️ OpenAI does NOT currently distribute ChatGPT through the Mac App Store. The official Mac app comes directly from ChatGPT.com.
