We forget that this journey is unique to each one of us. We are all fighting battles in our minds, trying to be better than who we were yesterday. Before judging someone, let's look at them through the eyes of compassion and ask "How can I serve you to make your path easier?"
Take a moment. Step back and witness your life events instead of being consumed by them. Guru Teg Bahadur Jee says "Know this world to be a play." A play is meant to be watched while knowing that it's going to get over soon. Live with love, but live in detachment. It's peaceful.
To uplift your existence is to realise that you are beyond your body, mind, feelings, and experiences. As Bhagat Ravidas Ji puts it- "You think of yourself as the wave and God as the ocean- but they are both made up of the same water." Recognise your true self, it's divine!
But when we suffer, we question our preconceived notions, and sometimes, even the purpose of life. This leads to us becoming a much better version of ourselves, provided we don't give up the search. Bande Khoj Dil Har Roz❤️. (2/2)
Heard these lines from a Gursikh- 'Never forget your journey. Don't forget what the Guru pulled you out of, whether it was drugs, alcohol, or anxiety. Why? So that you don't look down on people who are in the same place as you were one day. Understand them, uplift them.
Spend more time with people who remind you that Vaheguru is near. Those are the real ones.
We must listen to Gurbani really carefully. Because once it comes to reside in our heart, life becomes a lot easier. In times of trouble, we are able to turn back to it, look within, and seek guidance from the Guru.
It's okay if you are unable to connect with some people after beginning your spiritual journey. Personal growth is meant to alter this stuff. When you change, your company changes. Sangat is everything- it is important that you keep the best of it.
When you find something special within, that need for external approval & validation reduces tremendously. This is what my spiritual discipline has done for me, it has filled me in a way that the world could never have.

Thus, the word ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ in this pangti is not referring to a Gurmukh person. The pangti means "those who through the Guru have not obtained the Naam". This is a simple example of how deep and unique Gurbani is to be explored as a main source of our spiritual journey.
ਭੂਲੇ ਸਿਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਝਾਏ ॥ The Guru instructs His wandering Sikhs; ਉਝੜਿ ਜਾਦੇ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ॥ If they go astray, He sets them on the right path. ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਖਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥ So serve Him, forever, day and night; He is the Destroyer of pain and your companion.
