좌·우 성향의 청소년 단체로부터 동시다발적인 비판을 받은 전교조는 현재 별다른 입장을 보이지 않고 있다
후원을 받은 적이 있다거나 어디서 지원한다는 의혹이 있더라는 '카더라' 식 내용만으로 '이용'이니 '꼭두각시'니 표현하는 것은, 청소년들이 스스로 판단하고 활동하는 능력을 무시하는 것으로 보인다
전교조는 한청련 뿐만 아니라 진보성향의 청소년 인권단체 '아수나로'에게도 질타를 받았다.
전교조는 이미 진보 세력에서 큰 역할을 하고 있고 지원 분담금 명목으로 많은 후원을 하고 있기 때문에 헌법이 정하는 정치적 중립 의무를 사실상 위배
"전교조는 후원받은 적도 없는 곳을 거론하며 한청연이 마치 어른들이 시켜서 행동하는 '생각없는 단체'인 것처럼 비하하고 매도했다”고 항의
“한청연은 순수 개인자금으로 운영하는 단체다. 운영자금은 후원금과 나의 가족이 내는 돈으로 충당한다”며 '우파단체가 배후에 있다'는 전교조의 주장을 정면 반박했다.
청소년단체들이 즉각 반발하고 나섰다. 전교조에 의해 ‘교사 사냥하는 어용단체’로 지목된 한청련의 곽도훈 대표는 ‘전교조는 학생 죽이기를 즉각 중단하라’는 성명서를 발표, 강하게 반박했다.
전교조는 성명을 통해 “어른들이 청소년단체를 이용해 왜곡, 조작을 일삼는 것은 죄악”이라고 주장했다. “우파단체가 청소년단체를 이용해 전교조를 죽이기 위한 음모를 꾸미고 있다”고 주장했다.
전교조와 <오마이뉴스>가 "정부기관과 우파 단체들이 청소년 단체를 배후조종해 교사들을 괴롭힌다"는 음모론을 제기하자 좌·우 성향의 청소년 단체들이 동시에 반박, 전교조가 곤란한 모양새가 됐다.
