Unsolicited cold outreach advice to sell websites to local businesses:
1. Pick one type of business in a few nearby cities. Roofers, dentists, HVAC, whatever. Pull them all off Google Maps into a sheet.
2. Only keep the ones that already have a website. They've already proven they value one.
3. Then only keep the ones where you can find 3 to 5 different ways to reach the same person.
Phone.
Email.
Facebook.
Instagram.
Their contact form.
Keep going until you have 1,000.
4. Don't just call. Use the same pitch on every touch point.
5. That ends up being 3,000 to 5,000 touches on 1,000 businesses. Then look at your response rate and adjust as needed.
Most people just try one channel. They hear no, and then stop. You're better than that though ;)
We've been cold emailing restaurants straight off Google Maps…
and the results for this manufacturing client have been INSANE (1,100 leads in 21 days)
So I broke down the ENTIRE system in a video...
Covering the full setup and the AI that answers every reply in under 30 seconds
Here's what's included inside the video:
> The market nobody's emailing
(why local businesses on Google Maps beat anything in Apollo or ZoomInfo)
> The scrape
(pulling every restaurant off Google Maps with Serper, Clay and Claude Code)
> The inboxes everyone else skips
(how we find info@ and personal emails, and why the owner checks them daily)
> No first names
(why we dropped every name variable and it made no difference)
> The offer
(faster delivery and a $5K minimum order when others ask $10K-$20K)
> The free mockup
(an AI image of their logo on a cup, built from their own website)
> The AI reply engine
(tags every reply, writes the response and sends it in under 30 seconds)
> Selling over email
(why this market buys without ever booking a call)
> The revenue math
(how 300 leads a month became 8 deals and $40K in new revenue, and what 1,100 does)
> The numbers
(66,000 people, 4,000 emails a day, and 137 leads in a single day)
All from a live campaign we're still scaling (this offer can take 500K+ emails a month)
Like + comment "MAPS" and I'll send it over
(Must be following me to receive it)
So they've indexed 2 billion people
Not 2 millions but 2 BILLION so you can use your agent to find anyone and reach out.
Many use cases in sales, research, recruiting, etc.
People were already doing that manually... now it's way faster and more accurate.
Agentic workflows to another level.
Introducing Ploid.
I think the world's data should belong to everyone, so we indexed over 2 billion people globally.
Ploid turns the public web into one profile for every person and company on earth, and serves it to you and your agents for cents.
We're mapping the human
AI yappers with Seedance 2.5 are STUPIDLY easy to make.
and the realism is on a whole different level...
you can literally make any yapper you want. a girl talking about her skincare in her bathroom, a guy reviewing his protein in the car
all you have to do is picture it clearly and give Seedance the right prompt
and you can create much longer videos than this...
advertising has never been this easy. and most brands still have no idea

Palantir CEO Alex Karp on AI companies using fear-based marketing:
"You should read some Machiavelli. It's far better to be feared than it is to be loved."
@JTLonsdale: "It might be on purpose that Dario wants them to be feared."

This is probably the best tweet you will read today.
A kid who was bad at maths, rejected by 25 universities and turned down by DeepMind three times, went on to build the software that OpenAI, Tesla and Meta now use to train their AI.
His story is the best argument I've seen for never ever quitting.
He grew up in Hyderabad (India), struggled with maths at school, and ended up at VIT in Vellore. VIT is a kind of college people call tier 2 in India, or probably worse.
He applied to twelve American universities for a master's with a GRE score of 1420 and was rejected by every one of them. He flew to the United States anyway on a J-1 visa with no real plan, applied to fifteen more programmes, and was turned down by all of them except USC and, through a late admission, NYU in 2010.
At NYU he started working with a researcher named Yann LeCun. Yes the same legendary researcher you’re thinking about. When he looked for jobs, the rejections kept coming. DeepMind said no. Almost everyone said no. His only offer was a test engineering role at Amazon.
Later, he applied to deepmind again, but was rejected again.
He kept building anyway. Around 2011 he wrote one of the fastest AI inference engines on phones, and still got rejected by DeepMind a third time, and then emailed LeCun one more time.
That email, along with his open source work, got him into Facebook's AI research lab, where he barely made it through bootcamp. Then senior engineers several levels above him couldn't get a major image model to train, and he, the most junior person in the room, found the bug that had everyone stuck. It was his first real win, almost ten years in.
He went on to co-create PyTorch with a team of three, and then watched management try to shut it down over internal politics. He has said he cried at a bar about it. A few people fought to save it, it launched in 2017, and today it sits underneath a huge share of the AI the world uses.
His name is Soumith Chintala.
Today he is Chief Technology Officer at Mira Murati led Thinking Machines Labs.
When the going gets tough. The tough gets going.

Revolut's designers are moving off Figma.
Storonsky spotted one team designing much faster than the others. What they did:
1. Gave an LLM Revolut's design system at the code level
2. Prompted it to build new flows on top of that system
3. Got a live interface they can click
This $11M plumbing company's website hasn't booked a single job online in a year.
We're rebuilding its homepage.
Every section on the new one, top to bottom, and why it's there:
1. Reviews and a big call button first
The brand, star rating, what they do and where they do it, then a large call button and a book online button. Someone landing from Google needs those before anything else.
2. A header button we can swap
The "Book it now" button can switch between a coupon and straight booking, so we can test which one books more jobs.
3. 6 to 8 services, not the whole list
Big tiles that work on a phone. Toilets and faucets fold into one "Leaks" tile, and slab leaks, well pumps and gas lines get their own.
4. Price ranges without a form
For water heaters, sewer lines and water softeners, a slider shows a price range right on the page. No name or email needed to see it.
5. A 3-column comparison
The one-truck plumber, the big box store, and them. The guy running the company told me, "Everybody, we get to the house, they've already been to Home Depot or Menards."
6. Their own video
Homeowners want to see the people they're letting in the house.
(Had ChatGPT make an anonymous template from the site for this post)
I owe OpenAI an apology. I finally understand their genius strategy!
Why spend billions training a new flagship model to beat Claude when you can just wait for someone to change the benchmarks?😭
OpenAI has been getting roasted for falling behind Opus and Sonnet 5.5, and releasing a stronger model might still be complicated by safety restrictions
But then Artificial Analysis updates its Intelligence Index, Astra suddenly sits just ONE point behind Opus, and OpenAI looks competitive again!
I’m not saying OpenAI paid anyone off, but this is some incredible timing LMAO
Seriously though, how much should we trust rankings that can change so dramatically after a methodology update?
Dario: “Yeah some people are gonna want to link their brains to computers, and good luck to them.”
Daniella: “I don’t think anyone at Anthropic is in that boat for what it’s worth.”
…
Oh no
this format is pulling 27M views per short right now
and Claude just built a prototype of it on its own
left: RicksClips on YouTube, 27M views in 8 days
right: Claude Opus 5.5. no designer, no 3D artist, no animator, no voice actor
i gave it the brief. it did the rest:
→ picked a true story and fact-checked it
→ invented and drew the characters
→ built every set in Blender
→ timed captions to every word
→ wrote its own sound design and music
5 minutes to render on my PC. this is prompt one
one more prompt for quality and it's ready to post.
