We have two years to save the world. Starting now, we need: 🔑 A quantum leap in climate finance 🔑 Bold new national climate plans by all nations that protect people, boost jobs and drive inclusive economic growth More 👉 bit.ly/4d3jLkb
@simonstiell @ChathamHouse "inclusive economic growth" = the "equity" of forced redistributive politics, i.e. Marxism.
What a load of contradictory rubbish. He says climate action is the preeminent problem that should trump all other priorities but then parrots on about no trade-offs magic that lifts millions out of poverty at the same time. A perfect example of this lack of seriousness: "The transformative potential of bold climate action - in tandem with steps to advance gender equality - is one of the fastest ways to move away from business as usual."
@simonstiell @ChathamHouse Have you considered finding a more interesting cult?
The world couldn't possibly do any one thing together in 2 years even if all countries agreed to and started immediately. But they all don't. Forever wars (that must do wonders for carbon and other toxic emissions), record coal energy production in China the wipes out any progress made in the West. EV batteries that can't be recycled in EV cars the masses can't afford anyway. Everyone hates each other and wants to kill each other and you think the world is all going to work together to get something done. Muslims and Jews all want to kill each other. China wants to invade Taiwan. North Korea wants to invade South Korea. Inflation and record deficits throughout the West, esp. US which is beyond flat broke and is on the verge of the next great banking crisis and perhaps a real financial and funding crisis. It's a good thing you are most likely wrong, like every other previous catastrophe that has been predicted in the last several decades.
@simonstiell @ChathamHouse Wow, just 2 years. The climate death-cult propaganda is in full gear
@simonstiell @ChathamHouse That would be the only way you can keep your fake job!
@simonstiell @ChathamHouse Oh, let me guess, and you are one of the people who benefit from climate spending. Grifter without shame.
@simonstiell @ChathamHouse Delusional nonsense.
