@MoistenedTart The real problem here is that these companies don't want things to be fair when switching to a usage-based compensation model. Instead they want customers to pay for potential access, when the same technological advances that have allowed for this allow for tracking actual use.
@MoistenedTart I personally think it should be unlawful for companies like Netflix to charge customers at least at the full rate for months where they hadn't streamed anything. It seems to be hard to justify.

@sinusoidal @MoistenedTart It reminds me of when I accidentally forget to cancel my Verizon internet service after I moved out of the house I had it set up for. They could easily see that there was 0 data downloaded or uploaded for those three months... but they still came after me for the bill lol
